Hi Folks, As I haven't got hold of a workshop manual yet, I was wondering if anyone can shed any light on this problem. It started with the seatbelt warning light coming on and a relay clicking away even when all belted up, but would stop if I shifted around in the seat slightly. This would keep it quiet for a while and then it would start again, so again shifting around would shut it up. I also notice that occasionally, after the indicator had cancelled the relay would carry on with a fast click (much faster than normal indicator speed). I took out the ashtray and ciggie lighter (thankks to this forum) to get into the relays. This I when I found out that it was the same relay doing all the clicking. I took the realy out, and dismantled it, but all joints appear sound (2 were re-soldered as they looked a little suspect (no change). So, how is the seat belt warning light back feeding to the indicator relay, or maybe it's vice versa??? Does the seat belt warning normally click? Any help would be gratefully received, as it's driving me potty!:speechless-smiley-6 Bye for now, Rich

Hi Rich, The same relay is operated by both systems. If the seat belt warning is clicking, try using the indicator. The noise changes. ivor940

Issues with the seatbelt catch - there is a switch in the bottom of it (accessed by a small panel against the centre console) that needs tweaking/disconnecting. Push the seatbelt further into the catch and see if the clicking stops

Hi, thanks for the feedback. When the indicator is operated the relay clicks as you'd expect an indicator relay to do at the correct speed. The previous owner took the switch out of the driver's belt receiver. There are 2 cables to a small switch assembly, one cable is removed from the switch. If it's still clicking away then , it must be another cable to disconnect?? Do any of the cables need to be re-connected to bypass the switch. (not sure how the system works). Thanks, Rich PS: is it a bad sign when I start twitching in time with the relay...:music-smiley-005: ????
