How do I map midi CC11 to midi controller?

I want to record expression changes live, but I don't know how to map midi CC's to my midi controller. Anyone know how this is done?

I'm not sure what you're asking. If you want to set up your MIDI controller to send CC#11 messages then the details will be in the MIDI controller user manual. By the way, which one are you using? If you want to capture CC#11 messages in Reaper and send them directly to a plug-in (where they will affect something), then you can just Record them into a new or existing MIDI clip. User Guide 3.30 onwards If you want to capture CC#11 messages in Reaper and use them to automate some plug-in parameter then you can 'MIDI Learn' the message to the parameter, display the Automation Envelope lane and Write the received CC#11 events into the lane as envelope points. On playback those envelope points can be Read and change the parameter. User Guide chapter 18.

OK, that's one option I hadn't thought of. :) So what messages in the Nektar Impakt sending? You might be able to use insertpizhere's midiConverter3 , as an Input FX, to change them to CC#11 messages.

I'm not sure I completely understand what you're asking but it sounds a lot like what JS MIDI CC Mapper does. That will convert one CC message to a different one. Steve
