i went to have a look but as a guest can't view the forum or even see how other members you already have, i thought it was being tight on here getting chucked off after viewing a few posts but wow

Pedro, No one gets 'chucked off' after viewing a few posts. Anyone who has not registered/logged in gets a message after viewing 5 threads suggesting they register/log in, then after 10 they are asked to register or log in and not able to view more threads. Why? Since registration is free I don't think it unreasonable to ask anyone who is interested in the forum enough to read more than 10 threads to register. The forum is a free resource for anyone and is paid for by the VOC. I have already upgraded the server hardware to accomodate the efficient running of the forum, and an extra CPU will be added in a few days. This all paid for out of the advertising revenue. What is likely to attract paying advertisers? Lots of members. I hope this explains the reason I use that method. volvot5.info Whereas I think that new Volvo sites and forums are always welcome, I think that making such a post on our site, or any other forum, is unacceptable. You are trying to capitalise on the success of others. The correct procedure is to get your site indexed by the search engines and then get agreed links from other webmasters. Then wait. Bob
